Directions/GPS: 

From the intersection of Jay and Water Streets in Lock Haven, PA, travel over the bridge to Lockport.  Turn right at the end of the bridge onto Route 664, and travel a total of 13.7 miles.  Turn left onto Queens Run Road.  Travel 2.7 miles, then turn left on Sawdust Lane.  After traveling 0.3 mile, bear right.  Starting on Queens Run Road, these roads are quite primitive and unpaved.  The cemetery is on the property of Wade Maurer. Ask before going out to the site.  As this area is heavily wooded, it is advised to avoid it during hunting season.

History:

Christian and Mary Maurersettled in Gallagher Twp., Clinton County, PA, at an early date, as did John and Mary Stechenfinger.  The Maurers purchased land from George Craig as early as 1 November 1862.  These two families lived as neighbors, and they are all buried in a small burial plot in the area where they lived.
